Exam Fever - August 2014

Remember about I entered school (back-to-school) again sometime end of last year? Here... an exam time in the month of August for 2013/2014 B-Jurist External student. Hence, I studied, I sometime panicked, I forced my fingers to write 20 pages within 3 hours 15 minutes exam allocated time, so I guessed it was a good start. Most of my friend and I have done with 4 law papers and 1 more on a compulsory university paper, TITAS for tomorrow. Nothing much to worry for tomorrow beside reading TITAS book as the exam will be conducted in objective style, carrying 60% mark, 40% from the assignment.

Below is the Examination Building in University Malaya, located another 2 junctions from the law faculty. I had my lunch at student food court when I found the building nearby, a day before the exam. I studied in the library some times, having discussion with my group, but most of the time I was at home, accompanied by our lovely cats. Home is pretty quite these days as Syahirah usually left very early for her practical kindergarden in Ampang, Nasrul is sitting for his SPM in December, Nazhif leaves daily to his work place (in his internship with M&E Consultant now) and Naim will be the last to leave home to attend his classes in MSU, Shah Alam.

And I'm sharing memorable photos in the exam hall from the very first day till yesterday.

1st day exam few minutes before entering the hall, I sent this selfie to my family whatsapp group - freak out face for TORT paper and after the last exam in 1999 (15 years ago)

After TORT paper was over, can smile a bit

2nd paper, Contract Law outside the hall with my bestie, Maryam and Zaharah, my study group

10 minutes before we have to stop writing I was stretching my fingers, too numb from writing 20 pages for Malaysia Legal System paper.... #Proff Johan, you better give me A for that as I've quoted minimum 4 cases for 1 questions :)

At 3pm, selfie in the Interview room... shhhh

5 minutes after the exam, Islamic Law... honestly, I'm shaking a bit, don't know whether I answer the way Ustad want.. #Ustad, please please allow me to pass

Ustad Abd Muhsin is our coordinator and he snapped some photos, shared them in our Facebook group. I'm sharing them here as to see how my course mate and I struggled during Malaysia Legal System paper last Friday to find a right legal words and the law of authority to argue our answer. Whatever it is, good luck to me and to all my friends. Peace!

Moving On

Shifting to new office: 6th August 2014

Yesterday mark another major step for me as our huge expressway project is ready to kick off. Acting as an EPC Contractor, our Concessionaire has invited us to share their project office in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. So far, our 5 Works Package Contractor were mobilising their offices at dedicated site too. I had to say my farewell to my girls at the headquarters yesterday with a heavy heart.

1st farewell lunch for Isk at Thai Restaurant
Though I have been looking forward to shift, much of the history and memories in Lower Ground Floor of our HQ becoming too attach deep within me. I was there from 1st December 2012 till 5th August 2014. 20 months was indeed a long period to  built a true friendship and for that friendship to flourish beautifully. I have Anne, my best friend, Nurul my neighbour cum sister at the work station, Nurul's group of friend (Isk/Ili/Shakira/Eila) that later becoming my favorite girls in HQ including Nadeera, a sister to Ane as Nurul to me. These ladies are a very special friends of mine.

What did we do everyday? Our routines started in early morning, hi hi for coffee and breakfast, especially Isk who came very early like me. Isk, Nurul and I once join a gym on the upper floor before Nurul's wedding. Regularly Isk and I had morning talk at my place while having breakfast, beside Ane who joined quite often. Sometimes we go to have pancake with sambal ikan bilis at PKNS.

Group lunch at my place was our favorite. We will brought take away foods and had lunch in a big group of 8 at my place while chatting, though very seldom Nadeera joined. The most memorable 1 was when Ane wanted to test her mini rice cooker before our Europe trip. We had a potluck lunch that day. After lunch, we usually gather at Surau for Zohor prayer and one 1 more time for Asar prayer before we end our working day.

That was going on for the last 20 months. So yesterday, my tears at the verge of flowing after I said my farewell to Nurul. I now understood why and how Ane broke down when Nadeera left on her last day before pursuing her study end of last month. Ane and Eila would be forever in the HQ. Soon, Nurul and Ili would join the Perak site team in November this year. I forgot to mention that both Isk and Shakira are in Damansara Uptown project has left earlier where their farewell photo is shared in this entry.

2nd farewell lunch for Kira at Pizzahut

Looking forward to meet for the third group lunch, i.e. my official farewell lunch next week with my girls. Miss you guys loads and tonnes :(

Eid 1415 Hijrah, year 2014

Eid was celebrated slightly better than last year in our simplest way. Hubby and I were trying to keep things very positive as we wish to celebrate our last eid mubarak in a present house that we occupied since the last 21 memorable years just within our small family. We hope, with the willing and the grace of the Almighty, our new house would be ready for the next eid.

Apologize for a blurry image, had to share this 1 as it was the only shot with the whole family in

We get everyone to tidy up every corner of the house and the result was satisfactory. A lot of items being remove from the house, mostly old junk. It shows how we collect things that are no longer in use after 21 years. As for the meal, I only cooked chicken rending and boiled ketupat rice on Sunday while cooking for the last iftar meal. Hubby bought "kuah kacang" from the famous Samuri Satay Kajang and lemang. No pressure as all preparation was made in my own sweet time without any assistance. Eid falls on Monday,  28th July 2014 after 29 days fasting in Ramadhan month.

Nazhif's choice of color matches my long dress by Threads & Motifs, a Karachi designer's boutique

Unlike last year, we did not not specifically had any color theme. Hubby and Nasrul clearly said they don't need a new traditional Malay's "Baju Melayu', an outfit that Malays use to wear for a special occasion. Only Nazhif and Naim went on separately to at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. I had many pieces of new clothes from my recent trip to Karachi, tailored suits for both Syahirah and I including the 1 that Hidia specially design of my beautiful outfit for second eid. It was a bless months of 1415 (Islamic calendar year), both Ramadhan and Syawal.

After eid morning prayer, we had spent some time taking photos in the house. It was fun, something that we use to do after we put on all effort for our eid outfits. Eid morning meals was served after the photo session. 2 of my husband's worker and their family came to visit and celebrate eid with us.  Slightly after zohor prayer, we were ready to visit our relatives but had to wait slightly longer as my brother in law was on his way to visit us. We left together after Asar prayer to Selayang for the visits.

and Syahirah in her own design outfit
We came back slightly after midnight on the first day, hence, we chose to rest the following day and only left the house after Asar prayer to visit my aunty and her daughter who had recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, 20 days earlier in Mantin, Negerei Sembilan. We hang out till almost midnight at their place before return to rest.

On third day of eid, my nephew came to visit me from Klang with her 2 sister's in law family. By the time they left, we were too lazy to drive and chose to stay home, doing nothing. Hubby and I went to survey tiles for the new house in the first half of 3rd day. On forth day I started my 6 days unobligatory fasting following sunnah by the prophet. I invited my sister's family for dinner on 5th day. While at the same time, I did my revision for my upcoming exam in middle of the month. 5 papers within 2 weeks. I pray that I will do my best to achieve whatever outcome that it might come, hoping not to re-sit any of those papers.

Special cakes for all
So, how was did being celebrated by you?
